2007-2005 Apprentice/Studio Assistant, Studio of Osvaldo Romberg,
Philadelphia, PA and NYC

            Worked closely with international museum artist by preparing 
            artist's materials and assisting with the creation of artworks. 
            Practiced resin casting, painting and installation. Studied 
            classical drawing and mastercopying, especially in Baroque 
            painting. Developed an understanding of art theory directly 
            through the artist’s methods and concepts. Traveled to New York 
            to meet with dealers, curators.

Professional Experience

2009 University of Arizona Art History Club, President
Served as leader and supervising coordinator of the U of A Art History club. Organized, scheduled and lead monthly meetings. Networked with museum and gallery directors, curators, registrars and preparators to organize field trips to learn about the inner workings of the art world. Organized a weekend trip to Los Angeles. Worked with secretary and treasurer to manage club website and financial backing of the club.

2008 Tucson Museum of Art: Assistant Preparator, Intern
Worked along side preparator preparing exhibition spaces, installing exhibits, crating exhibitions. Worked in archives with curator and registrar. Learned and practiced conservation skills, esp. involving Mesoamerican Zapotec and Huichol weavings, and Peruvian festival hats. By studying conservation, learned that the intellectual study of the artwork is integral to the clarity and awareness that the viewer perceives when installed through preparatory work and displayed. Worked on storage mounting sculptures and other art objects. Did framing for an exhibit of Latin-American photography. Assisted the Latin American curator by writing for exhibition catalogs.

Supervised a summer Mural Painting program with teens from inner city Philadelphia. Worked as a team on a large-scale mural with muralist David Guinn on South Broad Street.
